MONUMENT TO BRITISH SOLDIERS DESECRATED IN BAKU

PanARMENIAN.Net - A monument to British soldiers killed during the World War II when defending Azeri oilfields was desecrated in Baku. As reported by Arminfo agency, unknown persons poured oil over the monument. It should be noted that the erection of the monument caused discontent among Azeri nationalists who were indignant at the fact that the British soldiers fought together with the local Armenians. British embassy in Baku expressed regret on account of vandalism committed.
