REFUGEES, WHO LEFT NAGORNO KARABAKH AS A RESULT OF AZERI-KARABAKH WAR, RETURN TO THEIR HOMELAND

PanARMENIAN.Net - 170 refugee families, who left their homes as a result of the Azeri-Karabakh war, are expected to be received in Nagorno Karabakh in 2004. As chief of the department of migration and refugees under the government of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic (NKR) Serge Amirkhanian told Arminfo agency, 86 houses will be built for them. In his words, Armenians living in a number of CIS countries also wish to settle in Nagorno Karabakh. 155 families (586 persons) left for the NKR for permanent residence in 2003, 106 families got new houses.
