NORWEGIAN AUTHORITIES EXPELLED GEORGIAN CITIZEN SAMVEL AMBARIAN, WHO MADE SELF-IMMOLATION ATTEMPT AS PROTEST ACT

PanARMENIAN.Net - Norwegian authorities expelled Georgian citizen of Armenian origin Samvel Ambarian, who made an attempt of self-immolation in December 2003. According to a Reuter agency report, S. Ambarian, who tried to immolate himself in front of the parliament building in Oslo, wanted to express his protest against the refusal of the country's authorities to grant him asylum. Due to the source, 28-year old Samvel Ambarian avoided serious wounds only thanks to the operative interference of the doctors. Deported to Tbilisi Georgian citizen has lived in Norway since 2000.
