ECONOMIC GROWTH OF ARMENIA DISCUSSED IN WASHINGTON

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian International Policy Research Group (AIPRG) held its second annual conference, "Armenia: Challenges of Sustainable Development," at the World Bank headquarters in Washington, DC on January 17 and 18. As reported by the AIPRG representation, sixteen unique research papers over the social-economic development of Armenia were presented during the conference. Over 100 Armenian and foreign experts, as well as senior officials from the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the US government and several foreign embassies participated in the forum. Issues of international trade, capital market, fiscal and tax policy, state governance, small business promotion, important to Armenia and the Diaspora, were the main topics discussed at the conference.
