Armenian FM comments on Azerbaijani policy on Madrid principles

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said in an interview with the Austrian Der Standard paper that Azerbaijan keeps focusing on return of territories, in particular, the buffer zone around Nagorno Karabakh, what hinders the development of negotiations.

“Return of territories is just one of the points of Madrid principles, and Azerbaijan must understand that Madrid principles form a whole package. In this regard, the U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton declared in Astana that the principles were developed as a single whole,” Nalbandian declared when commenting on the process of Karabakh conflict resolution.
