ARMENIAN CONSTITUTIONAL COURT DOES NOT DOUBT LEGALITY OF ROBERT KOCHARIAN'S ELECTION

PanARMENIAN.Net - The suggestion of the Armenian Constitutional Court of April, 2003 regarding the conduction of a referendum on confidence to the President of the republic bears "not imperative but disposition character, i.e. it does not provoke any necessary or immediate legal consequences", RA CC chairman Gagik Harutyunian responsed to the inquiry of RA National Assembly Artur Baghdasarian, who wished to receive explanations for various comments on the above mentioned CC resolution. According to the reports by the RA NA, the reply letter as well notes that the proposal can by no means question the legality of the RA President's election, for the Constitutional Court upholds the resolution of the Central Election Commission of March 11, 2003 on the election of the Armenian President.
