AZERBAIJAN LIFTING BLOCKADE OF ARMENIA TO NOTABLY INCREASE ARMENIAN EXPORT, WB AND IMF EXPERTS CONSIDER

PanARMENIAN.Net - In case Azerbaijan lifts the blockade against Armenia an 11% increase of the volume of Armenian export may occur. As reported by "Arminfo" agency, notes "Global finance for development" report worked out by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB) and presented in Washington on the threshold of the recurrent session of the IMF and WB leading bodies. According to the document, resulting from the release Armenia will be able to double commodity circulation and twice reduce trade deficit. The resumption of rail communication via the Azeri territory may result in losses for Georgia due to the curtailment of transit payment, the report notes. "However, Georgia will surely profit from the establishment of stability and expansion of cooperation in the region," - WB and IMF experts suppose. The document also notes that in case of settling commercial relations Armenia will be able to export electric power to Turkey.
