We are already used to the fake information disseminated by the Azeri press, which aims at creating "image of enemy Armenians". There is too much unreasonable and ridiculous information provided by the Azeri press, which is published with the violation of ethics. It is already useless to repeat the fact about "the appropriation" of the culture, architectural and even national belongings. According to the Azeri press, there are no Armenians in the world but only Azerbaijani, and today already the second generation is being raised with the same hatred towards all Armenians and all that is of
Armenian origin.

Lately in the relationship between Azerbaijan and Russia some kind of tension regarding Iran, or to be more exact, regarding the nuclear power-station equipment supply. Thermal equipment for the first Iranian nuclear power-station coming from Russia was detained in Azerbaijan about a month ago. On March 29 Russian road-train carrying thermal equipment, destined for "Busher" nuclear power-station in Iran was detained in "Astara". The negotiations of the representatives of "Rosatom" with Azerbaijan about the equipment have been no success so far.

It happened so, that Turkey says something and does something completely different, but always acts according to its own interests, never taking into consideration the point of view of its strategic partners; i.e. the USA and Israel. However it is more appropriate to call these countries "strategic partners", since Ankara's conduct towards these countries already exceeds the limits of simple cooperation. For pressure on its partners Turkey has chosen a very handy target; the Armenian Genocide committed in the Ottoman Empire in 1915 - 1923.

Turkey has found itself in a rather difficult situation: on the one hand Turkey is already tired of waiting for 10-15 more years to be integrated into the EU; on the other hand, this idea seems too tempting to give it up. The demands of the EU after all are no fancy but necessity for the Turkish officials. As it has already been said more than once, Turkey must prove by its actions and not by words that the country has chosen the democratic way of development.

After the explicit failures in NATO, in the Balkans and in the Middle East, the US Secretary of States set to the Karabakh Conflict. In any case, this is how the latest statement of the Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice can be interpreted. "The USA remains the active party of the negotiations on the peaceful regulation of the Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict. The USA doesn't recognize the Nagorno-Karabakh as an independent state, and its government body is not recognized in the international level or in the USA.

The almost sensational instructions of Vladimir Putin to the RF government about working out of new mechanisms of the protection of the rights of the Russian citizens, living in the unrecognized republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, became a kind of response of the RF to the Kosovo problem. As it is mentioned in the announcement of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, instructions have been made regarding the resolution of the announced course of the Russian authorities on giving support to the population of the two republics, where Russian citizens reside.

The latest belligerent announcements of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, most likely, aim at frightening Armenia and the World Community in the issue of the Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict resolution. At that, the official Baku continues to claim that they are going to resolve the problem by force, "without taking anyone into consideration". The basic argument of Aliyev is making the enlarging the military budget, which in 2008 will reach up to $2 milliard, which is a rather promise sum, however, the question is - what will this sum be used for?

The Israeli Knesset will be on holiday till May 18, and now Turkey is doing its best "to persuade" the deputies to forget about the discussion of the Armenian Genocide. Turkey has already started implementing the well-known method; blackmail, which works so well in the USA and so badly in Europe. It is quite obvious that it will be much easier with Israel, than with any other country, especially with Europe. However, it should be mentioned that Turkey, which have chosen the Islamic Justice and Development as the leading party of the country, will most probably want to join the Islamic world, whose main aim is to raze Israel to the ground.

The leading party of Turkey Justice and Development has come up with a suggestion to changing the 301 Article of the Turkish Penal Code, according to which those who are accused of "insult to Turkishness", are sentenced to a 3-year imprisonment. In the revised version of expression "insult to Turkishness" is changed into "insult to the Turkish Nation", and the maximum period of imprisonment is 2 years instead of 3, which gives the chance of changing the imprisonment with conditional release.

Resolution 106 of the US House of Representatives has never been withdrawn from the Agenda of the US Congress. The truth is, long months have passed since October 2007 and that would be enough to forget about the Resolution. However the representatives of influential Armenian Diaspora Organizations in the USA, and not only them, are certain that sooner or later the Resolution will be approved.
