KARABAKH PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE TO ACCEPT DECISION, MADE WITHOUT THEIR PARTICIPATION, NKR PARLIAMENT SPEAKER SAID

PanARMENIAN.Net - The people of Nagorno Karabakh do not have to accept a decision, made without their participation, Speaker of the Nagorno Karabakh Parliament Oleg Yesayan said at a Yerevan meeting with European Parliament members Ursula Schleicher and Demetrio Volcic, who had arrived here to participate in a sitting of the EU-Armenia Interparliamentary Cooperation Commission. O. Yesayan emphasized that Stepanakert's participation in the talks on Karabakh settlement is an indispensable condition for comprehensive resolution of the conflict. He hoped for that stance of Nagorno Karabakh to be met with the due support of the European Union. The Speaker noted that Nagorno Karabakh not being recognized by the international community did not change the essence of the Karabakh problem. "The conflict between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan cannot be perceived as conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan," Oleg Yesayan said.
