RICHARD ARMITAGE: TURKEY WILL SOON RETURN TO ISSUE OF OPENING BORDER WITH ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - The opening of the Armenian-Turkish border is profitable for both countries and its outcomes will be felt in rather short terms, US Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage said in Yerevan yesterday. In his words, the issue has been discussed with the Turkish authorities many times. "Ankara was lately occupied with other problems - such as North Iraq and Cyprus. I hope Turkey will soon return to the issue of opening the border with Armenia," the US Deputy Secretary of State said.
