REFERENDUM ON CONSTITUTIONAL CHANGES TO BE HELD IN ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian parliament has come for public discussion of the bill of changes in the Constitution. The parliament majority approved of the bill worked out by the commission on constitutional changes under the president, which provides for limitation of the state head's authority to some degree and increasing the role of the parliament. Meanwhile, a number of opposition deputies were against passing the draft saying the changes suggested there "are called to protect the president's interests, not those of people."
