PARTICIPANTS OF OPPOSITION MEETING IN YEREVAN MADE FOR STATE HEAD'S RESIDENCE TO DEMAND AUTHORITY RETIREMENTApril 12, 2004 - 23:33 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Today upon the completion of an opposition rally held in the Liberty Square in Yerevan at 4:00 p.m. those gathered made for the residence of the Armenian leader. Leaflets with calls to a procession to demand retirement of the current authorities were spread by opposition activists even before the beginning of the meeting. At present the procession is stopped by police forces cordon next to the building of the National Assembly of Armenia in Baghramian Avenue (not far from the presidential residence). It should be noted that the number of people at today's protest action (some 10 thousand) is less than on April 9.
