CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS INSTITUTED ON ATTACKS ON JOURNALISTS DURING MEETING APRIL 5April 15, 2004 - 22:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Criminal proceedings are instituted on the fact of violent actions against media representatives during opposition meeting April 5, Press Secretary of the Armenian Police Sayat Shirinian told Yerevan Press Club. It should be reminded that a group of young people attacked the journalists, who were trying to shoot how they threw eggs on the demonstrators. The proceedings are instituted in compliance with the Criminal Code for "hooliganism" and "violation of public order, accompanied by exceptional cynicism." In S. Shirinian's words, the case is pleaded by the investigation department of the Police of Armenia.
