ARMENIAN LEADERSHIP AND OSCE MG US CO-CHAIR EXCHANGED OPINIONS ON KARABAKH CONFLICT SETTLEMENT PROSPECTS

PanARMENIAN.Net - Newly appointed US co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Steven Mann, who is on his acknowledging visit in Yerevan, met today with Armenian President Robert Kocharian and foreign minister Vardan Oskanian. The parties presented the approaches to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement and the prospects of stimulating the negotiation process. In part, S. Mann and Vardan Oskanian expressed satisfaction with the Prague meeting held on April 16, during which the Armenian and Azeri FMs as well as the OSCE Minsk co-chairs had the opportunity to exchange opinions regarding the present situation around the Karabakh conflict settlement and to agree on further contacts. To note, tomorrow S. Mann is leaving Yerevan for Tbilisi; afterwards he is expected visit Baku.
