TURKEY RECALLED AMBASSADOR FROM ISRAEL

PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkey has recalled its Ambassador from Israel "for serious consultations" as a sign of protest against the actions of the Israeli army in Judaca, Samaria and Gaza Strip. According to the data of the Israeli media, both the Ambassador and the Consul General of Turkey have left the country. Earlier Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan compared the actions of the Israeli with those of the Spanish, who persecuted Jews in the 15th century, which caused the protest of the Israeli party. Not to complicate the tense relations between the two countries, Turkey tried to keep in secret the recall of the diplomats, Mignews reported. Simultaneously, Turkish official sources state there is no crisis in relations between Ankara and Jerusalem. It is reported that the "consultations" aim at strengthening mutual understanding. However, Israel takes these statements with skepticism. The Turkish Foreign Ministry states that the Ambassador and the Consul will return to Israel this weekend.
