EU COLLABORATES WITH ARMENIA AND AZERBAIJAN FOR ACHIEVING DEMOCRATIC PROGRESS

PanARMENIAN.Net - EU is collaborating with Armenia and Azerbaijan to improve their Constitutions, secure human rights and enforce law, achieve democratic progress, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Heikki Talvitie stated at the press conference in Brussels. At the same time he mentioned that after the "rose revolution" Georgia occupies the leading positions in the South Caucasus. Touching upon the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, because of which Armenia and Azerbaijan remain behind, H. Talvitie assured: "If reconstruction programs are necessary for the beginning of the peaceful process, EU is ready to work them out". To note, the EU Special Representative intends to visit the South Caucasus in early July.
