RESTORATION OF MOTORWAY STRIP CONNECTING GEORGIA WITH ARMENIA TO FINISH IN OCTOBER

PanARMENIAN.Net - The restoration works at the strip of Marneuli-Sadakhlo motorway, connecting Georgia with Armenia, will finish in October 2004, Chairman of the Department of Roads of Georgia Roman Dalakishvili stated in Tbilisi yesterday. In his words, up to now the strip of the Marneuli-Sadakhlo road was unfit for traffic. However, in spite of that the traffic via the main highway connecting Georgia with Armenia did not cease, Dalakishvili noted. "The length of the Marneuli-Sadakhlo strip makes 30 km. 10 out of them were restored in 2003 at the expense of the means assigned from the "Kuwaiti credit." The restoration works of the remaining 20 will be funded by means of a World Bank credit," the Georgian Minister noted.
