PUBLIC TV COMPANY OF ARMENIA BECAME ASSOCIATE MEMBER OF EUROPEAN BROADCASTING UNION

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Public TV and Radio Company of Armenia has become associate member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). This was announced during the recurrent EBU forum, being held the other day. It should be noted that the Union based in Geneva directs large TV and radio networks in Europe, stimulates and coordinates joint production, recommends a number of commercial, technical, legal and strategic services. The EBU contributes to processes of accreditation, which lets its members cover large sport measures. Thus, owing to the EBU the Public TV Company of Armenia transmitted the games of the European Football Championship, as well as will show the coming Summer Olympic Games in Athens. Within the framework of the educational and entertainment program exchange, coordinated by the EBU, the Armenian audience had the opportunity to observe the Eurovision-2004 song contest. It should also be noted that 71 companies from 52 European countries, North Africa and Middle East, as well as 46 associate members from 29 countries of the world are members of the European Broadcasting Union.
