VARDAN OSKANIAN: ARMENIA DOES NOT RESORT TO OTHER COUNTRIES TO SOLVE DOMESTIC PROBLEMS

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia does not resort to other countries to settle the domestic situation, no matter how close these countries are, Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian said in an interview with Nezavisimaya Gazeta Russian newspaper, when commenting on the reports of some media that the recent appearances of the Armenian opposition were suppressed "with the silent approval of Moscow." In his words, everything that takes place in Armenia is exclusively its domestic affair. At that the Minister added those events had never caused serious concern of the authorities, especially of President Robert Kocharian, "as it was evident that these appearances do not have serious underlying causes and mass support of the population." "Russia is interested in stable Armenia. It is natural that having observed the developments in Yerevan, Russia made a statement in favor of stability in Armenia," V. Oskanian said.
