EU TO WORK OUT NEW PROGRAM OF COOPERATION WITH SOUTH CAUCASIAN COUNTRIES

PanARMENIAN.Net - In the near future the European Union will work out a new program of cooperation with the South Caucasian countries, which having supplemented the Treaty on Partnership and Cooperation currently in force, will mark the specific directions and measures to promote further development and cooperation in the region. EU Commissioner Janez Potocnik stated it in the course of a meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian in Yerevan today. In the Commissioner's words, at the first stage it is planned to arrange a report on Armenia before next spring. The terms and the content of the individual program will be defined on its basis. It should be noted that Potocnik is in Armenia within the framework of his visit to the South Caucasus.
