ARMENIA AND CHINA CONSIDER TRADE-ECONOMIC COOPERATION PRIORITY OF BILATERAL PARTNERSHIP

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia and China consider the trade-economic cooperation to be an important constituent of bilateral relations and the priority of bilateral partnership, Armenian and Chinese Presidents Robert Kocharian and Hu Jintao stated during the talks held in Beijing within the frames of the RA leader's state visit to China. The adopted joint declaration says, in part, that the Presidents "encourage and advocate the measures taken by both countries for the development of the mutually beneficial cooperation". Measures of the kind aim at consolidation of trade-economic partnership, the negotiation participants stated. Upon completion of the visit the parties signed agreements on technological-economic cooperation, seismological defense as well as inter-departmental program on cultural exchange. To note, as stated by Mr. Hu Jintao, "in token of friendship between the two peoples" China is to provide $1.2 million gratuitous technical-economic assistance to Armenia.
