Iran’s envoy says cooperation with Armenia important to his country

PanARMENIAN.Net - On June 25, Iran's newly appointed ambassador to Armenia Mohammad Rayeesi presented copies of credentials to Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

Minister Nalbandian congratulated the envoy on his appointment, voicing hope for him to give new impetus to deepening of cooperation.

Ambassador Rayeesi, in turn, stressed that Iranian authorities show great interest in strengthening of cooperation with friendly Armenia, pledging to do the utmost to contribute to strengthening of bilateral ties.

The two men further underscored the role of Armenian-Iranian inter-governmental commission in economic cooperation, development and implementation of joint programs.
