ARMENIAN PREMIER AND WB REGIONAL DIRECTOR DISCUSSED PROGRAMS OF STRUGGLE AGAINST CORRUPTION AND POVERTY

PanARMENIAN.Net - Yesterday Armenian Prime Minister Andranik Margarian received the World Bank delegation headed by Regional Director Donna Dowsett-Coirolo. During the meeting Ms. Coirolo reported that November 18 the WB Board of Directors is scheduled to discuss the credit program on the struggle against poverty in Armenia and expressed hope that by the end of the current year it will be possible to allocate funds for the implementation of the program. The importance of regional cooperation had been noted as well. The parties also considered the programs on the struggle against corruption and the work of the monitoring group formed within the frames of the program. To note, during the yesterday's conference Donna Dowsett-Coirolo stated that Armenia is one of the countries to utilize the credits allocated by the WB International Development Association in the best way.
