US TO STRENGTHEN AZERI BORDERS

PanARMENIAN.Net - Due to the waiver of the Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act, Washington intends to redirect funds assigned for strengthening Azeri borders to putting frontier control zones in good order and modernization of frontier observation posts. As reported by "Arminfo" agency, the Azeri frontier service assured that the aid would be directly used to strengthen the guarding of frontiers and to enlarge the technical capacities this year. Maneuvers for protecting the maritime borders with participation 6 ships and two frontier patrol boats were held and coastal observation posts were established at the expense of the aid rendered last year.
