FORTHCOMING ARMENIAN ELECTIONS MAY SERVE GOOD EXAMPLE FOR REGION, CIS OBSERVER CONSIDERS

PanARMENIAN.Net - The forthcoming presidential elections in Armenia may serve as a good example for other countries of the region. CIS observation mission representative Evgeny Slobodin said at a meeting with the head of the Armenian parliament. In his words, as reported by the Armenian National Assembly press service, all preconditions for that are present in the republic. Slobodin imparted his opinion with the speaker that in their speeches opposition candidates paid more attention to critics directed against the acting president than to presenting their own programs. Let us note that the February 19 presidential elections in Armenia will be attended by some 75 observers from the CIS countries - except for Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, which did not sign the agreement on observation mission exchange.
