Armenian President Positively Evaluated EU Interest to South Caucasus

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Robert Kocharian received EU Troika delegation led by Austrian State Secretary Hans Winkler. The parties exchanged views on cooperation between the EU and South Caucasian countries. Positively evaluating the EU interest to the South Caucasus, the Armenian leader underscored the importance of approval of the EU-Armenia Action Plan within the European Neighborhood Policy.



«We conceive the Action Plan as a clear line, aimed at development of bilateral relations, which will provide new opportunities for targeted and coordinated reforms in Armenia,» Kocharian said. He also acquainted the EU Troika delegation with the development of the talks on Karabakh peaceful settlement. The parties also discussed Armenia's approaches to energy security, reports the Press Service of the Armenian President.
