CONFERENCE OF DONOR COUNTRIES ON CREATING ALTERNATIVE ENERGY RESOURCES IN ARMENIA TO BE HELD IN YEREVAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - A conference of donor countries to discuss program of creation of alternative energy resources in Armenia will be held in Yerevan early in 2003. As reported by Armenian ambassador in Brussels Vigen Chitechian to "Arminfo" agency, the opportunities of attraction of additional means into the sphere will be discussed within the framework of the conference, in which the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Wold Bank and other financial institutions will participate along with representatives of 15 countries. At present, in the ambassador's words, with the assistance of "Sogin" company the European Union holds research to study the financial evaluation of the previous program. Vigen Chitechian also noted that the conference had been already planned this November, but was postponed due to serious changes in EU structure that led to a number of purely technical problems.
