Absence of Karabakh side in talks is absurd

PanARMENIAN.Net - EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby's statement on establishing dialog between the Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan reflects just the same thing that Armenia declares already many years, ARF Dashnaktsutyun representative and Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Armen Roustamyan stated during a press conference in Yerevan. He said, absence of Karabakh side in the talks is absurd, "The negotiation process cannot replace trilateral talks. We have repeatedly declared that Armenia stands out in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict negotiations on behalf of NKR, and not as a conflicting side, only because the NKR is not recognized by the world community. The RA cannot replace the Nagorno Karabakh in the issues of status, security, and displaced persons-this is prerogative of NKR authorities and people. And finally, Armenia is a guarantee for security of the Nagorno Karabakh population and cannot be an outside observer," Armen Roustamyan underscored.
