GEORGIA'S APPEAL FOR JOINING NATO AIR DEFENSE CONTROL SYSTEM TURNED DOWN

PanARMENIAN.Net - Georgia's appeal for joining the NATO air defense control system was turned down at the meeting of the NATO air defense committee. As "Mediamax" agency reports, the NATO state-members as well as state-allies are included in that system. According to Georgian defense minister David Tevzadze, the reason of the rejection was the protest of the representative of Greece regarding that the air defense command post in Tbilisi was not modernized. The minister thought possible that "the Greek side, making use of that formal reason, was led by other views".
