Armenia should protect historical memoryNovember 13, 2007 - 15:36 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The events of 1915 in the Ottoman Empire is a tragedy of the world history, Lithuanian Defense Minister Juozas Olekas told reporters in Yerevan after attending the Memorial to Armenian Genocide victims and Museum-Institute of Armenian Genocide."These events remind of the history of the Lithuanian nation in the years of soviet occupation in 1940-1948," he said. "Armenia and Lithuania should protect historical memory to ensure peace for next generations irrespective of nationality," he added. "I am glad that Armenia and Lithuania can be full-grown members of the international community. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
