  Armenia-U.S. relations developed successfully in 2008January 21, 2009 - 19:23 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenia -U.S. relations developed successfully in 2008, says the annual report issued by the RA Foreign Ministry.On invitation of the U.S. government, Armenia's Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian visited the United States. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan attended the 63 rd session of the UN General Assembly in New York. In fiscal year 2008, the United States allocated $58,5 million to Armenia as financial aid and $6 million to Nagorno Karabakh as humanitarian assistance. The Armenian-American trade and transport committee has worked out a charter of economic relations. Besides, the two countries signed an agreement on air communication. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.
