OSCE MG Co-chairs brief Nalbandian on outcomes of Baku and Stepanakert talks

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian met Monday with OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs, Ambassador Yuri Merzlyakov (Russia), Ambassador Matthew Bryza (U.S.) and Ambassador Bernard Fassier (France) as well as Personal Representative of OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk to discuss the current stage of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process.



The mediators briefed the Armenian Minister on the outcomes of talks they held in Baku and Stepanakert.



For his part, Minister Nalbandian hailed the statement issued by the OSCE MG Co-chairs on February 19. "The statement excludes resolution of the conflict by use of force and is in full conformity with the Moscow Declaration and the statements adopted during the OSCE ministerial meeting in Helsinki," he said, the RA MFA press office reports.



On February 19, the OSCE MG Co-chairs issued a statement which says that the Nagorno Karabakh conflict should be resolved peacefully.



"The core element of just and lasting resolution of the conflict is non-use of force," the statement says.
