Traditional torch procession took place in Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Nikol Aghbalyan Student Union of ARF Dashnaktsutyun initiated annual torch procession to the Armenian Genocide Memorial. Student Union told PanARMENIAN.Net at first, organizers thought not to fire Turkish flag due to ongoing Armenian-Turkish negotiations but Armenian-Turkish joint statement on mourning date eve made then go on according to initial plan.



After setting fire to a Turkish state flag, several thousands of young Armenians marched with burning torches from Liberty Square toward Tsitsernakaberd, the Memorial to Genocide victims where Turkish state flag was burned for the second time.
