771477 of Yerevan residents were included in final electoral listsMay 29, 2009 - 20:00 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - At today's news conference Head of Visa and Passport Administration, lieutenant colonel of RA Police, Norayr Muradkhanyan provided final details on electoral lists. He noted that May 26 was application deadline for inaccuracies and violations observed in electoral lists. According to Muradkhanyan, only two applications were filed in Yerevan police by RA Congress Authorized Representative Patvakan Hovakimyan. "The application said that the list included 106 family names of dead people. Upon completion of check-up we clarified that names of 42 people indicated in the application weren't in electoral lists, 26 of people deceased had no death certificates, 10 were alive and nothing could be clarified about the remaining 10."Muradkhnyan also presented detail on 189 people who weren't included in the lists. Upon examination it was clarified that 173 of them were included. He also noted that out of 34 voters claimed to be on military service, only 2 were in the army, the remaining 32 were not in the list. As for 7 people under arrest, the matter is being clarified at the moment. On May 27 we addressed the Ministry of Justice but haven't been given a reply yet." Muradkhanyan also noted that according to ANC Representative's application, 2038 people were checked up. 2025 people included in the lists have a right to vote. Thus, Preliminary electoral lists including 771383 persons, were completed with 94 more voters, to comprise the list of 771477 Yerevan citizens. In conclusion, Muradkhanyan noted that no other applications on any imprecision in the lists for May 31, 2009 elections into Yerevan Council of Elders were filed. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult.
