ANC not to start dialogue with authorities

PanARMENIAN.Net - No matter whether or not political detainees will be granted pardon, opposition will not start dialogue with authorities, ANC representative Vahagn Khachatryan told journalists today. "Opposition has nothing in common with authorities, and current situation makes it clear that the latter's life in power will not last long," he noted.

Commenting upon Serzh Sargsyan's statement on granting detainees pardon, Vahagn Khachatryan characterized the whole process as the successive theatrical show, with Public Council participating in it. Even of amnesty is declared, political detainees have no intention to quit prisons, ANC activist said. "Perhaps, I don't have the moral right to make any statement on their behalf, but our friends who are now in prison entitled us to act in such manner," he stressed.
