What will Republican Party do with its Minister?

But if Culture Ministry was found responsible for certain omissions and extra expenses, the first thing to be done is to check reliability of such information and get familiarized with law enforcement agencies' reports.





Chairman of Controlling Chamber submitted report on the Activities of Culture Ministry in 2007-08. Ministry was found responsible for spending extra sums in the amount of AMD 61 million 499 thousand which should have been returned to the Budget.



A sum of AMD 118.5 million was allocated for the Monument Preservation Program. Exhibited photographs displayed the awkward state Hnevank church. The destroyed part of the building was repaired by stone fragments found by chance.



Controlling Chamber found financial violations in other spheres as well. Thus, back in 2006, the Ministry allocated AMD 14.9 for Sayat Nova opera which hasn't been staged so far. The allocations to the "Union of Theatrical Figures" NGO comprised AMD 11 million 780 thousand, but having doubts as to the reliability of documents submitted, the Controlling Chamber demanded that a sum of AMD 8.6 be returned to the State Budget.
