AT REYKJAVIK MEETING TURKISH FOREIGN MINISTER KEEPS ON CONDITIONING ESTABLISHMENT OF RELATIONS WITH YEREVAN WITH ARMENIAN SIDE'S CONCESSIONS IN KARABAKH ISSUE

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian foreign minister Vardan Oskanian categorically disagrees with the accusations of Turkish and Azeri sides of "occupation of a part of the Azeri territory by the Armenian troops". As "Arminfo" agency reports, responsible official of Iceland's foreign ministry Michel Macluis has stated this. It should be reminded that the meeting of the three ministers took place in the frameworks of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council session in Iceland's capital. According to Macluis, the main goal of the meeting of Vardan Oskanian, Vilayat Guliyev and Ismail Cem was determination of the role of Ankara in the process of the Karabakh issue peaceful settlement and solution of Armenia-Turkey problems. In the course of the meeting, Turkish foreign minister Ismail Cem said the diplomatic and economic cooperation between Ankara and Yerevan was possible only after liberation of "the occupied territories " by the Armenian side. Iceland's diplomat has also noted that Armenia is extremely displeased with the Azerbaijan and Turkey alliance. According to him, the official Yerevan tries to establish economic cooperation with all the countries of the region, particularly with Azerbaijan and Turkey and to participate in the construction of the Baku-Jeyhan oil pipeline and the Baku-Erzrum gas pipeline. But the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Turkey categorically refused the initiative, noting that the unsettled Karabakh conflict was an impediment to the settlement of the current problems. Michel Macluis has stated with pleasure that the foreign ministers of the three countries agreed to continue the political consultations that will assist in the progress of the settlement of the current issues in the region.
