US STATE DEPARTMENT HIGH RANK REPRESENTATIVE MAINTAINS ARMENIA LEADING IN REGION IN DEMOCRATIC REFORM DEVELOPMENT RATE

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is leader among the region countries on the economy and democracy reform development rate. As reported by the Armenian Assembly of America, US Department of State coordinator on cooperation with Europe and Asia countries, co-chair of the working group on Armenian-American economic cooperation, Ambassador William Tailor stated it. He noted that Washington was interested in developing democracy and market economy in Armenia. In Tailor's words, the Armenian leadership undertakes concrete measures to contribute to private business and struggle against corruption. The US diplomat expressed confidence that Armenia would become an economically developed and democratic country. "Just a few years will pass before Armenia reaches its goal. And all this in spite of the continuing blockade," - he noted.
