OPPRESSION OF BAPTISTS IN AZERBAIJAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - Yesterday in Azerbaijan the activity of Christian Baptist church «Temple of Love» was banned. The court where the state committee on religious structures appealed, has decided that the activity of this religious organization is contrary to the Constitution of Azerbaijan. It is stated that «Temple of Love» makes for origin of «interreligious tension, intolerance and offensive attitude towards other religions». Meanwhile, the Baptist church «Temple of love» is not considered a totalitarian sect posing a threat in any other civilized countries.
