PROCEEDINGS INSTITUTED ON BATTERY OF BOARD MEMBERS OF «ARMENIAN ALL-NATIONAL MOVEMENT» OPPOSITION PARTY

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Prosecutor's office has instituted proceedings on the fact of battery of the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chairman of the board of «Armenian All-National Movement» party Aleksandr Arzumanian and member of the same party board, former Parliament deputy Vahagn Hayotsian. The incident took place the other day in one of the main capital cafes. Arzumanian and Hayotsian were injured as a result of the conflict with two officers of the internal affairs bodies. The action is brought in accordance with paragraph 109 of the Criminal Code (intentional infliction of light bodily injury). No charge is brought against any of the incident participants yet. Investigation of the incident circumstances is being held. Let us remind that Hayotsian was the immediate participant of the battery of his colleague deputy Shavarsh Kocharian in the Armenian Parliament conference hall September 1996.
