FRENCH SENATE DEPUTY GAVE ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT CHAIRMAN INVITATION TO VISIT MARSEILLESFebruary 11, 2002 - 22:47 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The meeting of Armenian National Assembly chairman Armen Khachatrian and French Senate member Jan Noel, who is also the head of the General council of Buj du Ron district, took place in Yerevan today. As the Armenian parliament press service reports, issues regarding building of Armenian churches, schools and clubs in France as well as the activities of French-Armenian trade and industrial house were discussed. The speaker of the parliament thanked the senator for active participation in the process of 1915 Armenian genocide recognition. Jan Noel presented Armen Khachatrian with the order of Buj du Ron district general council for his personal contribution in the development and strengthening of Armenian-French friendship. The National Assembly head received an official invitation to visit Marseilles.![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
