VANO SIRADEGHIAN CAN BE CANDIDATE FOR FORTHCOMING PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS IN 75 DISTRICT

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to the decision of the central election committee the elections for the vacant deputy post in 75 district will be held May 19. It should be reminded that the deputy of this district was ex- minister of internal affairs of Armenia, Yerevan ex-mayor, "Armenian national movement" party ex-leader Vano Siradeghyan who was deprived of his deputy authority December last year, because he was absent without any good reason at the 219 meetings of the Parliament. "According to the law, if a deputy is absent without any good reason at the more than two third of the meetings, he is deprived of his authority). As it is known, Siradegyan is in hiding now. He is accused of committing grave crimes including organizing of assassinations. The last year international investigation had no results. Central election committee chairman Artak Sagradyan has stated today that the law does not prevent Siradegyan from being a candidate for the elections in 75 district. In the course of the pre-election procedures he can be represented by a representative having official letter of attorney from the deputy candidate. There is no information about whether Siradeghian intends to stand for the next term.
