BAKU LEADERS THINK COUNCIL OF EUROPE PROTECTS ARMENIANS

PanARMENIAN.Net - «There are not political prisoners in Azerbaijan. This is a made-up problem that is considered in the CE at the instigation of definite forces». This statement was made by «Yeni Azerbaijani» leading party secretary Ali Ahmedov at the meeting of the union of progovernmental parties. He made hints that the reason of the strict position of the CE in respect to Azerbaijan is that Azerbaijani delegation to the PACE leaded by Ilham Aliyev actively strives against Armenians. According to Ahmedov, at the forthcoming PACE session Ilham Aliyev was going to make a speech with «stricter» accusations concerning Yerevan.
