"ARMENIAN AIRLINES" COMPANY TO ACQUIRE ONE MORE AIRPLANE A-310

PanARMENIAN.Net - The chief Civil Aviation Authority of Armenia has concluded a contract with "Airbus Industry" concern on the acquirement of another airplane A-310 on lease terms. This became possible due to the Intergovernmental Bank's $1720000 credit. Monthly payment for leasing is $125000. In six years the airplane will become property of "Armenian Airlines". The running of the liner will start 2002 March. Meanwhile as "Arminfo" correspondent managed to know, the agreement on leasing has not been signed yet and is being considered. A number of issues have to be settled, particularly the issue of deposit guaranteeing. For the leasing the Intergovernmental bank is ready to give a credit as a $1.72 mln. deposit. The head of the State Aviation Administration O. Yeritsyan thinks the acquirement of the second airbus A-310 on leasing terms is quite an advantageous bargain for Armenia. According to him, the leadership of the administration managed to take advantage of the aviation system crisis and get an airplane on more then acceptable terms.
