ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF ARMENIA DISCUSSED AT MEETING OF NEW U.S. AMBASSADOR TO ARMENIA WITH DIASPORA REPRESENTATIVES

PanARMENIAN.Net - As reported by "Arminfo" agency making reference to the press service of the Fund for Armenian Relief, questions of the economic development of Armenia were discussed in the course of the meeting of new U.S. ambassador to Armenia John Ordway with the head of the North American Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Khajag Barsamian and representatives of the Armenian Diaspora of America. Simon Balian, executive director of the fund, also noted the U.S.A. could contribute to economic development of Armenia, because America was where most of the resources are. John Ordway knows well the problems the post-Soviet republics face and is interested in their solution. "His experience and knowledge will certainly be useful in Armenia," - Balian said.
