RUDOLF PERINA CONFIRMS THAT « PARIS PRINCIPLES» ACTUALLY EXIST

PanARMENIAN.Net - Paris principles for Karabakh conflict settlement actually exist. This is the main conclusion that was arrived at by several journalists of Baku newspapers after their conversation with the new American co-chairman of the OSCE Minsk group Rudolf Perina who is in the region with familiarization visit. As it is known, Azerbaijan's leadership categorically denies the existence of any agreements reached at the meeting of Presidents Aliyev and Kocharyan in Paris. Yerevan and Stepanaketr, in contrast to Baku, confirm their readiness to find ways for Karabakh problem settlement taking as a base the decisions made in Paris. Baku press has called the statement of Perina regarding the fact that several agreements were reached in Paris sensational. The co-chairman has also given to understand that the mediators are not going to renounce the Paris principles.

«There is no contradiction between Paris and Key West principles. I think that the obvious progress has been achieved and we intend to develop it. This is the issue to be discussed at the forthcoming Lisbon meeting of co-chairmen». This citation from Perina's statement issued by «Zerkalo» Baku newspaper makes clear that the Paris principles are on the agenda.
