Heritage party considers last incident near NKR border to be preparation of new aggression by Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Heritage party disseminated a statement, which reads that the party considers another aggression of Azerbaijan against Artsakh not only as a unilateral violation of the ceasefire regime in the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict, but also as an evident preparation for a new aggression.

According to the party, this is proved by the fact that on June 18 the Azerbaijani parliament adopted the bill on prolongation of the President's and parliament's powers in case of a war. The bill envisages introduction of amendments to the Law on Constitutional Court.

Heritage party's statement also says that the Azerbaijani President's urgent departure after a trilateral meeting of Sargsyan-Medvedev-Aliyev and the organized provocation should serve as a signal for the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and international community.

Taking into consideration the subversive actions of Azerbaijan, Heritage party demands from the Armenian authorities that they refrain from using the following wordings in their statements: "Armenia remains adherent to the principle of Karabakh conflict peaceful settlement." According to the party, the other side to the conflict, mediators and international community view such stance as weakness and readiness to cede territories.

An Azeri recon element attempted to penetrate into Arstakh territory in the environs of Chaylu settlement, Mardakert region, on June 18, at 11.30 pm.

As a result of retaliatory measures, the armed group was neutralized, leaving one dead and armament on the spot. The Armenian side lost 4 killed. 4 were injured.
