DISCUSSION ON REPEAL OF SECTION 907 PUT OFF TILL TUESDAY

PanARMENIAN.Net - Yesterday Senate of the U.S. Congress was expected to consider the question of repeal of Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act, which prohibits the Administration rendering direct aid to Azerbaijan until it raises the blockade of Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh. The discussion is postponed till Tuesday, October 2 on the initiative of Senator Sam Brownback, who is actively cooperating with Azerbaijani and Turkish lobbyists. The Armenian National Committee of America has called upon Armenian by birth constituents to appeal to their representatives in Senate and demand that they not allow abolition of Section 907.
