GOVERNOR OF SAINT-PETERSBURG VLADIMIR YAKOVLEV HAS ARRIVED IN YEREVAN TODAY

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today the visit of Saint Petersburg's governor Vladimir Yakovlev has begun. The members of the delegation headed buy the governor were invited by the City Hall. The delegation will participate in the celebration of the 1700 anniversary of Christianity adoption by Armenia. The official delegation includes 14 people but 117 guests arrived in Yerevan from Petersburg. There are businessmen, cultural workers are among them. During his visit Vladimir Yakovlev will meet with President Robert Kocharyan, Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, Prime Minister Andranik Markaryan, Yerevan's mayor Robert Nazaryan. It is expected that he will visit Saint Echmiadzin and he will place flowers to the memorial of the genocide victims. It is planned to have a joint press conference of Saint Petersburg's governor and Yerevan's mayor.
