VLADIMIR PUTIN HAS MET WITH CATHOLICOS OF ALL ARMENIANS GAREGIN II

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia's president Vladimir Putin met with Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II in his residence in Yerevan today. As "Arka' agency informs, Putin expressed his satisfaction that his meetings with the head of the Armenian Apostolic church "have become regular" and took place both in Moscow and in Yerevan. "We are glad that the church has a positive influence on the development of relations between our countries", stressed the president. At the meeting the Russia's head gave best wishes of Patriarch Aleksiy II. Putin also was interested in the preparation process for the main part of the celebration of the 1700 anniversary of the Christianity adoption in Armenia. Catholicos of All Armenians expressed his hope that the visit of Russia's head " will be productive and successful".
